4 Ahrenfeldt Limoges E Bourgeois Hand Painted Mireille Floral & Gold Plates Beautiful set of 4 porcelain luncheon plates. Decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, red, yellow, blue, and purple. With two bands of gold encrustation. These are marked on the back in yellow and red E. Bourgeois Paris 21 Rue Drouot. That mark is France over a CA Depose in green.
This mark was used by Charles Ahrenfeldt in Limoges France between 1894 and the 1930s. Emile Bourgeois was a Paris retailer who opened Le Grand Depot in 1868. Le Grand Depot was the largest house in the world for table, dessert, and crystal services. The plates are signed along the floral decoration by the artist Mireille.
Every piece I have been able to find online by this artist is on Charles Ahrenfeldt porcelain. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks to any of the plates. Each plate measures approximately 8 3/4 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the pieces. I have 3 sets of four luncheon plates available.
