INCREDIBLY RARE 19TH CENTURY ARTIST SIGNED LIMOGES'FRENCH ROYALTY' HAND PAINTED & GILT CUP & SAUCER This amazing cup and saucer w as made by one of the two best porcelain companies in France - Limoges (Sevres being the other). It is signed by Limoges and also by the artist. It's not difficult to tell that this cup and saucer was very expensive fr om it s beginning a s the workmanship and detail are amazing. The cup and saucer together measure appro ximately 5 high. The cup by itself measu res ap proximately 4 3/4" high and the saucer measures approximately 5 3/4" in diameter. The di ameter of the opening at the top of the cup is approximately 2. This cup and saucer are in excellent, original condition with no chips or cracks. There is a dark spot from the manufacturing process on the pedestal of the cup on the back side (see photo).
